Is everyone gathering at your place to watch the big game? Make this a Superbowl to remember with these party tips!
1. Preparation is key
There’s a lot to do before a party: cleaning the house, buying and preparing food, and setting up the party space, for starters. Try your best to spread out all the preparations over a couple of days. Visit our store to stock up on ingredients three days before the big event and start cleaning your home two days before. Get a head start on some of the food the day before, and then all that’s left is the last minute stuff on game day.
2. Opt for finger food
No one wants to be using a fork and knife, balancing a plate full of food on their knees while watching the game. That’s why small, portable food is the way to go. Game day classics like chicken wings, nachos, and sliders are all good options. You can find more food options here.
3. Set up a beverage station
Everyone has different tastes in drinks, and you don’t want to spend the whole party refilling everyone’s cup. That’s why a drink station is your best option. Stock it with a variety of alcoholic options as well as lemonade, soda, and water for the kids and non-drinkers.
4. Have plenty of open seating
No one sits still during parties. People are wandering around and visiting with each other, grabbing snacks and drinks, or trying to get a better view of the TV. Get creative with your seating. Steal the chairs from your dining room or office, and leave some throw pillows and blankets on the ground or wherever someone might take a seat.
5. Make a game out of it
It’s game day, so why not play a game? You could have your guests take bets on who will win or what the score will be, or have everyone rate the commercials from best to worst.
6. Keep trash cans & cleaning supplies handy
The least-fun part of the party: cleanup. Keep a couple of trash cans around for easy access. And unfortunately, with football fans enthusiastically cheering on their favorite players, there’s bound to be a spill or too. Have the stain remover on hand to stop a small mess from becoming a bigger problem.
Use this game plan on game day, and you’re on your way to an amazing party! And remember to stop by our store for all your food and drink needs.
